Had an outward moment of doubt and the Lord heard me.

Sitting her networking and researching, which I try to do daily, it hit me, “I am tired of playing this literary game”. As a writer who represents his faith in what he writes and having written my book called “From Gigolo to Jesus” I try my best to help others while making this a profession. Today, I had grown tired of defending my stance and my faith. As a Christian you have to be OK with knowing in a sinful world those who are connected to this world are going to make more money, gain prestige and benefit from the lack of faith in what they do. Many will argue against it and say their success is all God’s doing regardless of what they produce in the world. I just can’t believe that or support it. When the scriptures say “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Today, in my moment of negativity, I continued to look at various status messages on Facebook and came across this scripture which spoke to me in my moment of self loathing. “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life.” Proverbs 4:23 Instantly the verse spoke to my soul. I checked my thoughts and consider what the Lord was saying to me. I went to the Bible and looked up the whole scripture to place it into context and the Lord continued to speak me. Here is

Proverbs 4

Wisdom Is Supreme

1 Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding.2 I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching. 3 When I was a boy in my father's house, still tender, and an only child of my mother, 4 he taught me and said, "Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live.5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. 6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.9 She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor." 10 Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.11 I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.13 Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.14 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men.15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way. 16 For they cannot sleep till they do evil; they are robbed of slumber till they make someone fall. 17 They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.18 The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.19 But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble.20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. 26 Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. 27 Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Once I read the scripture and regained my balance. I decided to work on this blog. Well no sooner did I open my Google window to start writing did the Lord send another word to strengthen my spiritual resolve. He sent a woman, who I had sent a book to a few weeks back to continue speaking to my spirit. I can’t share all her words, they were personal and I don’t post anything personal without a person's permission. But what I can share is this; “K. L. I thank you for your honesty. It helped me and I am sure it will and does help others. In my opinion, It's a must read for young women. Applied knowledge is power.”

You see the Father was showing me my words matter and negativity can not connected to those words. Also, money, prestige, fame will come when the Lord sees fit to use those for his purpose. Until, given an understanding my focus has to be on God and where He is taking me. He has delivered me from my sinful past for a reason and I am not always granted an understanding of why. As practicing Christians, we have to get up each day and live our lives according to the word of God and trust our place will be prepared here or in heaven. I pray this helps someone today. God Bless.
