I haven't written poetry in a minute. Might take my pen out one of these days but we'll see. But until then I want to share with you a piece I wrote and published back in 2008.

Hello Love,
Look at what we have here?
I can see the fullness of a body touched by God.
A man would have to be insane to pass you by and not say a word.
Hey why that face?
I can see the doubt, the look of past failures in your eyes.
It’s OK. I am not them nor would I ever lower myself to not understand your worth or fail to protect your valor.
Your Size is a blessing, proof the creator knew men needed choices.
The way you walk, swaying as you step tells a story with each movement.
I am hooked. Hooked on trying to figure what it takes to have a woman like you in my life.
I want the whole you, the beautiful divine creature who was made to be partnered with a man all your own.
Not shared, not sampled, nor used or toyed with, but kept, protected, loved until your heart shouts with delight.
Your size is but a feature, a dressing, an accessory, an enhancement to a beautiful soul.
Society may say “Lose Weight” “Get Smaller” “Be Ashamed” but why should you listen to the masses they can’t see the perfection in you being you, the lovely thick you.
I am brave enough to grab your hand and stand firm at your side.
Size 16, 18, 20, 24, Hell 30 does it matter where love is concerned?
And if you choose to lose some weight then I’ll walk with you, workout with you, become your personal cheerleader even prepare your meals for you; whatever it takes to keep a smile on your face.
This is real, and I mean what I say. Your curves indicate little it’s your heart which means the world to me.
So Big Girl, no we're past that, so my Statuesque Goddess, don’t pass me by because my words are real.
My hello has no evil intentions; I merely want to know your name.
