As many of you know, I am working to create a counseling practice which helps those in need. My method would also support those in the Christian faith who need professional offer assistance that churches may not have resources for. I know many brothers and sisters of the Christian faith who don't feel comfortable with sharing personal issues with fellow church members. I am working to assist churches in filling this void.
After 20 years of teaching with the New York Department of Education, and years of counseling friends and family, I felt my current Masters degree in Education wasn't going to be enough when reaching out to various pastors. I decided to acquire a Masters degree in Human Services Counseling, specializing in Christian Ministry from Liberty University which is Christian based. Liberty gave me the foundation needed to help fellow Christians.
This is my form of ministry to give back to the Lord. So as you read the Bishop's words, you'll see my four-year dream is being realized by others, and I am sure doors will open as I continue to make Bravin Consultants an entity of support for those in pain.

As I prayed over the weekend for the church and all of God’s people the Lord reassured me that my call to ministry to bring pastoral utterance which simply means (From A Pastors view point) is still very necessary because his people are being destroyed due to a lack of knowledge. As I said in a previous post over 43.5 million people experience mental illness in America each year and a very large percentage of that number are among christians. SOME christians as I said in my previous post not ALL but SOME mask/hide their mental illness behind a prophetic word, Keeping it real, Living my truth, church hurt, church rejection and church acceptance, and the list goes on.. but at the end of the day it’s mental torment and illness that’s behind their reflections. Many don’t know this but after High School my dream was to become a psychiatrist so I went to college and studied sociology and psychology. After a few years I decided to pursue ministry and never knew how to bridge the two because I was told that you can’t be saved and have mental issues. I now realize that you can be saved and struggle with mental illness. I still believe in the power of prayer and deliverance but I also believe in doctors, medicine and therapy. Could it be that some people’s hurt and issues has caused them to have a mental break down without them realizing it? Do you know that if this happens and it’s never dealt with both naturally and spiritually, severe mental disorder can occur? As the church we must be aware of this disorder and be willing to talk about the seriousness of those who are hurting and offer deliverance healing and mental solutions. The hurting also need to know that Jesus instituted the church and His church don’t hurt people. PEOPLE hurt PEOPLE and some of these people who hurt others ATTEND church and unfortunately some work in the church. I’m very proud to announce this, look out for the Kingdom Christian Mental Health Outpatient Clinic & Services coming soon.. Great meeting yesterday with the powers that be in Bklyn! Another dream of mines being fulfilled.
